Continuous Inkjet and Products – Test

ATD is proud to distribute the Leibinger range of Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printers to the UK and ROI.

Offering every standard function you would expect to find in industrial CIJ printers, the Leibinger series also incorporates a variety of unique features in order to minimise maintenance and maximise availablity.

Start-up and shut-down problems have been eliminated by sealing the nozzle when not in operation (see video).

Meanwhile, the ink system operates without a gear pump, and with no reliance upon, nor requirement for, factory air. This helps maintain ink quality and produce exceptionally long intervals between periods of necessary maintenance. Eliminating pump wear makes the systems especially suited to handling pigmented inks, of which we provide a full range, including whites and yellows.

A Wide Range of Printing Applications

Typical applications include: bottling, canning, cable marking, pipe and extrusion coding, metal and glass marking, blister packs, form-fill seal machines, web numbering and addressing.

ATD CIJ systems come complete with a 24-month warranty and 12-month maintenance interval as standard. There are no timeouts on ink reservoirs or filters.

When the system is shut down, the gutter tube moves upwards to completely seal the nozzle, preventing the ink from drying out. Upon the jet’s initial operation, it fires into the sealed the gutter tube, thus ensuring the avoidance of splashing. Then, as the jet continues to run, the gutter tube is lowered to the normal operating position. As a result, no ink is wasted, no use of flush solvent is required and no mess ensues.

ATD offer the latest Jet2neo and Jet3 models. Both incorporate Windows touch-screen user interface, stainless steel enclosures, ethernet and serial connectivity, USB data back-up and restore, multi-line printing and all barcode and 2D-code formats.
